Government legislation ministry adds staff to counter cyber threats
The Ministry of Government Legislation increased its workforce by one official to strengthen responses to personal information leaks and cyberattacks.
The Ministry of Government Legislation said it has added one Grade 6 administrative or computer secretary to rapidly respond to personal information leaks and cyber infiltration risks.
The revision to the ministry's organizational rules increases the total number of officials from 247 to 248, with the general count rising from 246 to 247 and the specific rank of administrative or computer secretaries increasing from 12 to 13. This change follows a presidential decree issued on August 28 amending the Ministry of Government Legislation Act to bolster data protection personnel.
The amendment was driven by the need for a swift response to personal information breaches and growing risks of cyber intrusions into government information systems, according to the ministry.
The updated regulations take effect immediately upon publication.
