About New Era Korea Daily

Korea's primary-source daily

What we do

New Era Korea Daily reports on South Korea from primary sources. Corporate disclosures filed with the Financial Supervisory Service, statistics released by government agencies, court rulings and ministry announcements — we read the original record and report what it says.

We do not rewrite other outlets’ articles. Where another publication is the only route to a document, we go to the document.

Why English

English-language coverage of Korean filings and statistics is thin. Most of what is published in Korean each day never reaches a reader outside the country. We publish the same primary-source reporting in English.

How the articles are written

Articles are produced by an automated system, not by human reporters. We say so on every article and explain the process in full on our newsroom page.

Who publishes this

New Era Korea Daily is the English edition of New Era Daily, published in the Republic of Korea. Responsibility for everything we publish rests with the publisher, and the corrections channel is open to any reader.

Corrections

If we have published something inaccurate, tell us and we will fix it. See corrections for how to file a request and the deadlines we work to.
