National Fire Agency drops expired penalty schedule in fire-safety construction rule revision
A revised enforcement rule for the fire-facility construction business removes an obsolete fine schedule and adds a security-provision field to start-work and change-report forms.

The National Fire Agency said Tuesday it revised the enforcement rule of the Fire-Facility Construction Business Act, deleting a penalty schedule for violations committed between June 10, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2023, and adjusting the forms contractors file before breaking ground.
The deleted schedule set the fines imposed in place of a business suspension for that window, leaving the general penalty standard in Article 10 as the sole basis for such fines.
The agency said the schedule was removed because the covered period had lapsed, and the start-of-work report and the amended report for fire-facility construction now carry a security-provision field in their payment-guarantee section to tidy the forms.
Article 10 now refers penalty decisions to a new schedule, and the older schedule is deleted. The revision also renumbers the reference in the new schedule's heading to point to Article 10 rather than its second paragraph.
The revision takes effect on the day it was published. It was issued as Ministry of the Interior and Safety Ordinance No. 654 and signed by the interior minister.
