The session will guide domestic firms through new listing procedures following a recent bilateral food safety agreement.

The food and drug safety ministry said it will host a briefing on Sept. 11 to explain registration methods for domestic food exporters targeting the Chinese market.

Held at the Korea Food Information Institute in Jung-gu, Seoul, the event aims to reduce on-site confusion and support smooth exports by improving understanding of the new listing system established under a recently signed memorandum of understanding between South Korea and China. Officials plan to focus on registration methods clarified through recent consultations with Chinese counterparts.

"We will listen to difficulties and suggestions from the industry during the session to reflect them in future operations," the ministry said. The institute will provide practical support, including managing the registration system and handling inquiries.

Firms wishing to attend must apply by Sept. 9 via a QR code or the institute's website. Offline attendance is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
