The environment ministry said it will open EV Trend Korea 2026 at Coex in Seoul's Gangnam-gu from Aug. 25 to 27.

The event will provide a venue for future-mobility industry innovation and exchanges on carbon-neutral technology.

The exhibition will feature electric vehicles, environmentally friendly two-wheelers and construction machinery, alongside charging facilities, batteries and electronic components. Visitors will be able to inspect and experience the displays, and applicants can test-drive the latest electric vehicles.

An expert conference will run during the event, alongside export and investment consultations with overseas buyers, where participants can seek advice on investment strategies for global clean-mobility markets.

Oh Il-young, the ministry's climate and energy policy chief, will attend the opening ceremony on Aug. 25. BNK Capital will be recognized in the passenger category of the K-EV 100 awards, and Sosin Yeogaek Jadongcha in the commercial category.

"The shift to electric and hydrogen vehicles is the culmination of a future industrial ecosystem encompassing batteries and power grids, artificial intelligence, advanced components and renewable energy," said Oh Il-young, climate and energy policy chief at the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment. He said the ministry would strengthen the industrial ecosystem and carry out climate-citizen action campaigns to promote the transition to environmentally friendly transport.
