The finance ministry said Wednesday it will hold the 18th International Financial Organizations Recruitment Fair at Sungkyunkwan University on Nov. 12 and 13, bringing 13 institutions to Seoul to meet Korean candidates face to face.

Recruiters from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank Group, the Asian Development Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development will attend, along with the African Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office, the Green Climate Fund, the Global Green Growth Institute and the Bank for International Settlements.

The first day will feature presentations by each organization on its mandate and hiring process, followed by a panel of Korean staff sharing how they prepared for the application and what the job is actually like, and deep-dive sessions on the hiring policies of individual institutions. On the second day, interviews will be held for candidates who applied in advance and passed document screening, with recruitment consulting and mock interviews depending on each organization's needs.

This year the ministry is widening the pool beyond university students and job seekers to include experienced professionals from public institutions, research institutes and private companies, as well as specialists in fields such as finance and engineering.

Interview applications for specific positions open Tuesday at ificf.com and close Oct. 28, with applicants required to submit an English-language CV. General registration runs through Nov. 10 on the same site, and those who register in advance will receive a recruitment guidebook.

Beyond the two-day event, the ministry operates an online talent register at ifi.mofe.go.kr, launched in November 2025, where Koreans can file their career and specialty details and receive openings matched to their profile.
