Labor ministry's employment agency signs job-placement research pact with rehabilitation facilities group
The Employment Development Institute of the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities agreed with the Korean Association of Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities to share research and training on jobs for disabled workers.

The labor ministry's Employment Development Institute signed an agreement with the Korean Association of Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities on the 26th to strengthen research and training on employment for people with disabilities, the ministry said.
The institute is the research arm of the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities. The two sides met at the association's office to formalize the partnership.
The agreement is intended to better connect research with conditions in the field, drawing on the expertise and resources of both organizations to promote research and cooperation that reflect demand from service providers.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will exchange information on policies, institutions, research and field trends related to employment for disabled workers. They will also jointly host forums, seminars and meetings, design surveys and training programs, cooperate on training to strengthen the capabilities of experts and field workers and exchange personnel, and share research and training materials and examples of good practice.
"This agreement gives us a foundation for strengthening cooperation between research and the field on employment for people with disabilities," said Lee Dong-young, director of the Employment Development Institute.
