Interior ministry says 35 safety firms secure foothold in Vietnam

The interior ministry said Monday that 35 domestic disaster and safety companies secured a foothold in the Vietnamese market through a joint pavilion at Secutech Vietnam 2026 in Hanoi.

Participants held 930 business consultations and are pursuing contracts valued at approximately 49 billion won. The event, which ran from September 9 to 12 at the Hanoi Friendship Cultural Palace, also yielded five memorandums of understanding. The pavilion was organized with support from the ministry, local governments, and the Korea Fire Industry Technology Institute to showcase technologies in disaster safety, industrial safety, and firefighting.

Among the specific outcomes, Lezon Tech finalized an export deal for flame detectors with a local fire facility contractor, while H&N Smart Korea signed an agreement regarding manhole fall-prevention products. On the third day, officials from Vietnam's Ministry of Construction met to discuss technologies developed by KCT E&C, a firm designated for disaster safety new technologies.

Vice Minister of Public Security Nguyen Ngoc Lam visited the pavilion on the opening day to inspect the displayed technologies.

Park Hyung-bae, head of the ministry's safety prevention policy office, noted that the strong interest from both the Vietnamese government and private sector confirmed the competitiveness of Korean safety solutions.

"We will spare no effort in providing follow-up support to ensure these consultations and agreements translate into actual export results," Park said.
