The food and drug safety ministry said Tuesday it has opened free pre-registration for the 2026 Global Bio Conference, taking place in Seoul from Aug. 26 to 28 at the Grand InterContinental Parnas Hotel.

Regulatory authorities from 16 countries, including the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada, are scheduled to participate to share latest trends and discuss harmonization efforts. Attendees will have access to one-on-one meetings with these global regulators alongside specialized forums covering vaccines, gene recombinant drugs and advanced biopharmaceutical policies.

This year's agenda introduces a new segment titled GBC Special K-Bio Innovation Leaders Talk, where executives from leading Korean bio companies will discuss their global expansion strategies in a talk-show format. The program also features keynote speeches from international experts such as Azad Boni of Roche and Davis Nogales of Merck, as well as mentoring sessions for young professionals.

The ministry expects the conference to serve as a catalyst for further innovation and elevated global cooperation in the sector.

Interested participants can register for free on the conference website until Aug. 21.
