Olipass enters court receivership after Suwon court ruling

Olipass said it has entered court receivership following a decision by the Suwon Rehabilitation Court to open rehabilitation proceedings on June 5. The court appointed current representative director Kim Tae-hyun as administrator.

The court set specific timelines for the restructuring, with the period for reporting rehabilitation claims and secured rights running from July 2 through July 22. An investigation period for these claims is scheduled to begin on July 23 and conclude on Oct. 8, while the deadline for submitting a rehabilitation plan is Nov. 16.

For the first half of 2026, Olipass reported total sales of 1.26 billion won, consisting of 1.12 billion won in research revenue and 133 million won in other income. The company's revenue structure relies primarily on upfront payments from technology licensing agreements.

The firm focuses on developing new drugs using its RNA therapeutic platform technology, OliPass PNA. Its main pipeline includes OLP-1002, a non-narcotic painkiller, and a treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Olipass previously secured international partnerships, including a joint research agreement signed in September 2022 with US-based Vanda Pharmaceuticals for rare disease and immuno-oncology treatments. That contract, which involved an upfront payment of $3 million and was set to run through May 2026, has since expired.
