The National Gwacheon Science Museum will hold a family-oriented summer science festival featuring dinosaur activities, water play and natural-history programs from Aug. 14 to 16.
The Ministry of Science and ICT said that the National Gwacheon Science Museum will stage its Ice Dino Adventure summer science festival from Aug. 14 to 16.
The festival will include water play, dinosaur content and natural-science experiences in the museum's Central Hall and outdoor multipurpose plaza.
Outdoor events will feature Dino Water Survival Battle, a water-gun game, an ice-carving performance and a photo zone with a Tarbosaurus full skeleton about 9 meters long and 4 meters high.
Visitors can excavate dinosaur ice fossils or make dinosaur cooling packs at the Dino Glacier Laboratory. Indoor events include a dinosaur and natural-history quiz and a flea market for dinosaur goods and collectibles.
Lee Chung-won, director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum, called Ice Dino Adventure "not simply a festival for enjoying dinosaurs, but a summer science festival for reflecting on changes to Earth and the history of life."
