The food and drug safety ministry said it will run nine pharmaceutical manufacturing seminars, training courses and consulting programs from August through October.

The August-to-October phase will include two seminars, four courses and three consulting sessions. The nine sessions are part of 14 programs this year, including three international seminars, eight professional training courses and three consulting programs.

Some training and consulting sessions will take place in Osong, North Chungcheong Province, to encourage participation by workers at manufacturing companies. The seminars will feature Korean and overseas experts, including former US Food and Drug Administration inspectors, discussing recent technology trends and examples of their use.

Courses will cover ICH guidelines and case studies on responding to on-site GMP inspections. Consulting will be hands-on workshops on filter and cleaning validation and contamination control strategies. Manufacturing and quality-control staff at pharmaceutical companies can apply free of charge through the ministry's website.

The ministry has operated international seminars, professional training and consulting programs for the pharmaceutical industry since 2020 to broaden the use and understanding of GMP-based innovative technologies.
