Incross posts higher second-quarter profit on advertising growth
Incross reported higher quarterly revenue and profit as expanded AOR work and strong search advertising supported results.
Incross said second-quarter operating profit climbed 26.1 percent to 2.83 billion won ($1.99 million) from 2.24 billion won ($1.58 million) a year earlier, citing expanded AOR work and strong search-advertising sales.
Revenue rose 13.1 percent to 11.7 billion won ($8.25 million) from 10.4 billion won ($7.3 million) in the year-earlier quarter, while net income increased 11.6 percent to 2.65 billion won ($1.87 million) from 2.37 billion won ($1.67 million).
Search-advertising revenue reached a quarterly record as existing advertisers increased volumes and new advertisers entered through its Mindknock subsidiary. The advertising business recorded second-quarter gross billings of 146 billion won ($103 million) and revenue of 9.9 billion won ($6.98 million).
Its commerce business generated second-quarter transaction value of 39.4 billion won ($27.8 million) and revenue of 1.81 billion won ($1.28 million), supported by stable transaction performance at T Deal and Hyundai Shop. The company also operated the online Korean beef marketplace, Sono I'm Ready Mall and Nate On Deal.
For the third quarter, Incross said it plans to pursue customer traffic and sales growth through summer-vacation and Chuseok promotions, seasonal-product plans and strategic special-price deals. It is also pursuing a transition to an AI data intelligence company through the introduction of the Stellaize AI content-marketing platform and the Ainova multi-AI agent.
