Duksan Neolux reports second-quarter net income

OLED materials producer Duksan Neolux reported 122.4 percent year-on-year growth in second-quarter net income, while revenue and operating profit also increased.

Duksan Neolux reported second-quarter net income of 19.9 billion won ($14 million).

The company put the year-on-year increase in net income at 122.4 percent, measured against 8.97 billion won ($6.28 million) in the corresponding period a year earlier. Net income was also 18.6 percent above the preceding quarter, when it had been 16.8 billion won ($11.8 million).

Revenue for the quarter reached 94.6 billion won ($66.2 million), up 16.9 percent from a year earlier and 29.8 percent from the preceding quarter.

Operating profit was 18.5 billion won ($13 million), a gain of 80 percent from a year earlier. It increased 8.3 percent from the previous quarter.

Cumulative revenue totaled 167 billion won ($117 million), compared with 119 billion won ($83.2 million) in the year-earlier cumulative period, for an increase of 40.9 percent. Cumulative operating profit, meanwhile, rose 76.4 percent to 35.6 billion won ($24.9 million), from 20.2 billion won ($14.1 million) over the same cumulative comparison.

Duksan Neolux identifies the production and supply of core organic materials for OLEDs as its main business, and says it mass-produces and supplies them. Its stated products include HTL, described as a hole transport layer, as well as Red Host, Red Prime and Green Prime materials.

Separately, Duksan Neolux has expanded Black PDL shipments in earnest since 2025, describing it as a non-emissive material that improves luminous efficiency by removing a polarizer. The material can lower power consumption by up to 25 percent, according to information published on the company's website.

In its first-quarter product disclosure, flexible smartphone OLED sales accounted for 48.1 percent of OLED sales to domestic customers, while IT products represented 19.9 percent. Flexible smartphone sales increased 55 percent from a year earlier, while IT sales rose 18 percent.

First-quarter consolidated revenue was 72.9 billion won, comprising 47.1 billion won from Duksan Neolux and 25.8 billion won from Hyundai Heavy Industries Turbomachinery. The company published that first-quarter revenue composition on its website, separately identifying the two stated components.
