ISC second-quarter profit jumps on AI and HBM demand
The semiconductor test equipment maker reported strong growth in revenue and earnings for the April-June period, driven by high-end memory markets.
ISC said Monday its second-quarter operating profit rose 55.5 percent from a year earlier. The company attributed the surge to robust demand in the artificial intelligence and high-bandwidth memory sectors.
Revenue for the three months ended June 30 climbed 41.2 percent to 72.9 billion won ($51 million), while net income gained 67.9 percent to 19.4 billion won ($13.6 million). Net income attributable to owners of the parent company stood at 19.3 billion won ($13.5 million).
For the first half of 2026, cumulative revenue reached 141 billion won ($98.7 million), up 69.4 percent on-year. Operating profit and net income for the six-month period more than doubled, rising 117 percent and 117.5 percent respectively.
ISC supplies test sockets, semiconductor test equipment and process parts used in the development, mass production and burn-in testing of chips. The company expects the global test socket market to grow 10 percent this year, with the general memory segment recovering starting in the second quarter. ISC also projects double-digit annual growth for the non-memory market centered on AI applications.
