The company attributed the widening profit margin to sales growth outpacing a slower rise in operating costs.

Lotte Tour Development said Monday its casino revenue rose 18.8 percent in July from a year earlier.

Total casino sales reached 51.6 billion won, up from 43.4 billion won in July 2025. Table games generated 48.9 billion won, a 17.7 percent increase, while machine casino revenue jumped 44.1 percent to 2.69 billion won.

Operating expenses rose only 17 percent despite first-quarter sales growing 28.1 percent year-on-year, allowing operating profit to expand at a faster rate.

Hotel operations also contributed, with revenue climbing 11.3 percent to 8.78 billion won from 7.89 billion won last year. The Jeju-based operator runs the Dream Tower complex, where the casino segment accounted for 76 percent of total sales in the first quarter.

For the first seven months of the year, casino revenue surged 33.3 percent to 317 billion won from 238 billion won.

"As the peak tourist season approaches, we expect annual performance to show a clear quantum jump," the company said in a statement on its investor relations website.
