Aromatica reports 38.8 percent rise in second-quarter revenue
Aromatica posted higher second-quarter revenue and outlined plans to expand its overseas retail distribution.
Aromatica reported second-quarter revenue of 17.7 billion won, up 38.8 percent from a year earlier, according to a regulatory filing, while pursuing broader overseas distribution for its scalp and skincare products.
The filing showed sales of 12.8 billion won in the second quarter of 2025, as well as 14 billion won in the first quarter of 2026.
Operating profit for the second quarter was 2.25 billion won, after 1.33 billion won in the first quarter of 2026. For the first half, revenue accumulated to 31.7 billion won, compared with 24.5 billion won a year earlier, while operating profit totaled 3.58 billion won.
Aromatica manufactures and sells aromatherapy-based scalp and skincare cosmetics using 100 percent vegan formulations, describing itself as a clean beauty brand in its regulatory filing.
Hair and scalp care accounted for 57.0 percent of first-quarter sales, making it the company's largest product category in 2026. Rosemary Root Enhancer was the largest individual product by revenue, representing 15.1 percent of first-quarter sales, according to the filing.
Global sales contributed 31.6 percent of Aromatica's first-quarter revenue in 2026, a rise of 0.8 percentage point from 30.8 percent a year earlier.
Amazon sales volume in the United States climbed 80.8 percent in January and February from a year earlier, led by Rosemary Root Enhancer and Rosemary Scalp Scrub.
The company said it had confirmed placement on Ulta Beauty's online channel and in 170 physical Rossmann stores during the first half. It is targeting entry into about 600 Target physical stores in the United States during the second half of 2026, it said.
An Aromatica executive said the company would continue expanding overseas distribution channels and strengthening brand assets under a medium- to long-term strategy.
The company says its growth strategy combines global channel expansion and profitability improvement with a vertically integrated system covering ingredient sourcing, research and manufacturing.
The filing says Aromatica is expanding channels in the United States, Europe and Japan, where demand for environmentally friendly products is high. These efforts sit alongside plans to build a marketing system across domestic consumer touchpoints, centered on experiential flagship stores.
An Aromatica executive described 2025 as a year of restructuring toward globally focused growth and said it seeks positive growth in both sales and profit in 2026.
